DeCoRaTiNg FoR TeA…♡

Hello, Welcome to Marcia’s Cottage. I’m so happy to see you today my friend. Shall we have a little tea.

I’ve been meaning to ask you if you’ve ever hosted a tea party before? They are actually quite fun, and rather easy. A Tea party is perfect for a bridal shower, birthday, or any special get together with friends.  Oh,  and if you are on Pinterest, you might want to checkout my “Decorating For Tea” board. www.pinterest.com/Marcia|ren/

The first tea party that I gave was 20 years ago. I enjoyed doing it so much, that a few years later, I started a business, just for tea parties!

My business was called
Hearts Delight” I named it after one of my favorite scriptures.

I would host three teas
a year.  Because I was teaching year round, I would host a tea when I was “off” track.  A Victorian Tea in February, a Garden Tea in June, and a Christmas Tea in December. I enjoyed this for many years. Around the time I got married, I sort of stopped running it as a business. …and transitioned to what it is now. Which is I sometimes do them as a fundraiser. Mostly, I just do them for fun. I thought it would be fun to share some ideas for tablescapes. Here are a few photos from a recent Women’s Bible  Study tea party I had hosted. ♡

And, here are a few of my favorite recipes. .
I hope I’ve inspired you to invite a few friends over for an afternoon tea. You can make it as simple, or elegant as you want.  Your guests will love it, no matter what.
Thank you for stopping by today. Have a lovely day.
Xoxo. ..

Women like to make sacrifices in one big piece, to give something Grand. But often we can’t. Our lives are a mosaic of little things, like putting a rose in a vase on a table. Sometimes we don’t see how much those things mean.~Ingrid Trobisch
