La Petite Maison
Hello, Welcome to Marcia’s Cottage by the Sea. ♡ I’m so happy to see you today my friend. ♡ Shall we have a little tea. ♡ It’s a new month, and I’m thrilled to see you today because of course I have a most delightful story to share. At first blush the “house” was just a worrisome project to be undertaken. And, not unlike any new relationship there was no attachment. Similarly it’s a mystery as to when relationship shifts to attachment. Or, as in this case a house becomes a home. Suddenly my soul was captivated by “this little cottage” by the sea. And it was at this point that I had a deep desire to express the joy in my soul in a physical form. The english language seemed inadequate to fully express my sentiments. As I searched, and searched, the French phrase “La Petite Maison” finally captured … Continue reading
Dinner
Hi! Thought I’d drop in and share my dinner. (grin) A funny thing happened tonight. My husband and I had dinner reservations at a local restaurant, and we ended up being the only ones there! We had the entire restaurant to ourselves. Quite funny. I realize that I’m now living in a very small coastal town. However, this took it up a notch! Boy did we get good service. Every once in a while things like this happen. Has this ever happened to you? After dinner we took a drive to test out my new tires. I tried to sneak a photo of my husband. But, he’s way too quick for me. Well, actually maybe he’s not. (wink)

Easter Day on the coast
Hello, Welcome to Marcia’s Cottage by the Sea. ♡ I’m so happy to see you today my friend. ♡ Shall we have a little tea. ♡ Today was the first Easter we celebrated in our cottage on the coast. It was a special day. The weather was beautiful. My husband prepared a wonderful lasagne. It’s his trademark dish. We invited special friends over to share it with us. I made a yummy dessert. It’s my trademark. And the coastal Easter bunny was extremely generous with basket treats. I was pleasantly surprised to receive a package of my favorite red licorice! I have a serious weakness for this parucular candy. S.e.r.i.o.u.s. Along with the licorice were jelly bellies, and a chocolate duck. My sweet tooth will be sweetened for quite a while. The most thoughtful were two passes for horseback riding on the beach. I Can’t wait to use them! Hope … Continue reading

Somebunny loves you
Hi there! How’s your weekend going so far? I’ve had you on my mind. ..so I decided to hop in for a second. Yesterday, I was able to do a little gardening. One of the first friends I met 12 years ago dropped in for a visit. She was so sweet about how our cottage looks now. She said it’s magazine worthy! Wow! I must admit I don’t feel that way… however I was just a tad flattered. j.u.s.t a. t.a.d. Anyway, I’ve really been looking forward to celebrating Easter this year, decorating with the less is more approach . We’ve invited our neighbors over for an early Easter dinner, and just between you and me… I can’t wait to share this yummy dessert with everyone! The recipe is super easy. I purchased 1 box of Betty Crocker cake mix. 1 can of Betty Crocker frosting mix 1 Bunny cake pan Jelly … Continue reading
