These are views from our upstairs bedroom. I can’t help but feel gratitude for all the wonderful beauty that I’m surrounded by each morning when I wake up.  There are birds singing,  and we have two squirrels. .. Yesterday I shared about my excitement about a book signing I was attending.  It turned out to be a really fun day. Of course… Not quite how I planned.  Such is life. The morning began with a call from my sweet friend mentioning that she ran into a “little” traffic, and perhaps might arrive at my home later than we planned. “No worries” I said. I baked these cookies last night… to take on a little road trip today… Any guesses Where I’m off to? Ok…I will tell you. My friend and I are attending the author Susan Branch’s book signing in Pasadena! This sweet little picture of musical notes,  is on the inside cover. ….( Oh. …. Did I mention we were able to get FIRST edition copies!) This is a picture of the book she wrote, and a little handmade gift. What are you doing this weekend? I have been puttering around our home… I really love this little vignette. I found the shelf at one of my favorite thrift shops. These lace curtains fit perfectly in my kitchen. Can you see the little roosters? Joe and I are getting together with friends later, and I’m going to make a spinach dip to take.
