Let’s do this thing. ..♡
My husband is great. Being that we just recently returned from the East Coast…no sooner had we put our baggage down, I asked Joe to run to the market and purchase a large pumpkin…and then carve it QUICK! Ha! What a guy!

A Quintessentially Coastal Halloween…
Hello, Welcome to Marcia’s Cottage by the Sea. ♡ I’m so happy to see you today my friend. ♡ Shall we have a little tea. ♡ Hey, I bet you didn’t think you’d see me so soon! But, what the heck it’s Halloween, and my first time experiencing it on this beautiful coast of mine. (Well, not exactly mine) One of my neighbors told me that there’s often a storm on the weekend of Halloween. I don’t know if that is true, however it sure is true today. As I write this post it’s too early for treaters as yet. However, I’m hoping we get loads. Since I have think I’ve over done the candy thing. Earlier today I headed out to the local bakery for their Saturday delights…apricot scones! I also loaded up on lots of other goodies, cuz I was starving! I’m always starving. I wonder if you get … Continue reading

HaPpY HaLlOwEeN…♡
Hello, Welcome to Marcia’s Cottage. ♡ I’m so happy to see you today my friend. ♡ Shall we have a little tea. ♡ Re-post October 31, 2014 Hey……HaPpY HaLloWeEn!!!!! It’s too bad. .. That I’m not a kid anymore… because I loved when Halloween fell on a Friday. You’d get to stay out late…and go trick or treating your little heart out. Gosh…I think I went trick-or-treating until I started college I was in junior high. Some things are just soooooooooo hard to give up. And, I am super blessed to have grown up during a time when going to all the neighbors home for this fun day was safe, and parents didn’t have to worry. I have the world’s best memories of that time of my life. I think my best costume was my crayon outfit. I was a red crayon.(grin) How cute was that! How about you? Do you … Continue reading

Packing for a trip
Getting prepared to go on vacation requires organization on all levels. One of the most enjoyable parts is deciding what I’m going to wear. In planning for my trip back East, I checked the weather for the time of our visit. It’s important for me to be as prepared as possible… so, I always prefer dressing in layers. Days before I actually pack, I pair my outfits together, and wear them around the house, or out and about. This helps me get an idea on their comfort etc. If I’ve purchased a new dress, or shoes for the trip, I always wear them several times before my actual trip. For me comfort is everything. Happy traveling!

Nantucket, New York, and beyond
Hello, Welcome to Marcia’s Cottage by the Sea. ♡ I’m so happy to see you today my friend. ♡ Shall we have a little tea. ♡ Here we are in the second half of October. This time of year is special don’t you think… Well, I’m thinking this will be a short post, since right now I’m in the midst of everything. On the other hand, once I start talking. .. Here are some highlights of my week. I managed to take a few photos of the final completion of all our windows, which I shared about in last weeks post. If you haven’t had a chance to read it, here’s the link. https://marciascottagebythesea.com/windows-of-opportunity/ The garden window really opened up the kitchen area nicely. This is exactly what I was hoping for. It’s great when things work out the way you planned. I know this doesn’t always happen. … Continue reading
