A Painted Cottage
“Home is the heart of life…Home is where we feel at ease, where we belong, where we can create surroundings that reflect our tastes and pleasures…Making a home is a form of creativity open to everyone.~Terence Conran Hi! How was your week? One of the highlights of my week was having the opportunity to paint en plein air for the first time. The surroundings for this plein air was situated on a beautiful lush green golf course here on the Oregon Coast. The artists were invited to paint (as a fundraiser) and contribute to the gallery exhibit at a local hospital. I enjoyed the experience & I’ll share more with you later as time goes by and I become more acquainted with this art form. however what I’ve really been thinking about this week is color and it’s effects on our surroundings. emotions I began looking at the colors I’m drawn to both in and outside my home environment. Today I’m heading out to a local Farmer’s Market. wanna join me…. Benefits abound! There is something so inviting about visiting the outdoor markets. It was during my first year of retirement that I became very familiar with the local farmers markets in SoCal. I remember being on a mission to check them all out in the area I lived. There were two weekend markets. One was held on Friday, another on Saturday. different locations There was the small Wednesday Market, Thursday Market evening, and the Sunday Market. located by the Tyler Galleria My favorite most likely was the one held in the downtown area of the city. If Not Now…Then When?
“I was born the day I thought: What is? What was? And What if?” ~Suzy Kassem Rise Up and Salute the Sun First of all I want to wish you a Happy May! And secondly, can you b.e.l.i.e.v.e that the month of May has really arrived? I mean seriously how can this be? ( that 2017 is almost half over) seriously how is this even possible… Just recently WordPress ( the platform I use for publishing) sent a message informing me my stats were booming. This always excites and makes me very happy. I was a little surprised (since at the time my usual weekly post hadn’t yet been published) not to mention that my site doesn’t work with affiliates. advertising Being curious I put on my Nancy Drew hat and did a little investigating into the posts I had recently published and noticed a photo on Romantic Homes Magazine FB page. The photo was of a shed in my … Continue reading

Honestly, I had ZERO plans. … Other than I wanted to share about ALL the things I love. And the things I love are my Home, Family, Friends, Animals, Gardening, Hosting Tea parties, and my Creator….. well, before I knew … Continue reading
