🌸The Coming of May/ a DIY👑

“A woman is the full circle. Within her is the power to create, nurture and transform.”

-Diane Mariechild

Hello, sweet friends…

I hope you are well…

At a recent luncheon surrounded by successful women who are making significant contributions to their community…

I listened to their stories and insights, and became acutely aware of the important roles that women play in our lives.

From mothers and caretakers to entrepreneurs and community leaders, women are an essential part of our world. Reflecting on this experience, I realized that May Day and Mother’s Day, two upcoming holidays, provide a perfect opportunity to celebrate and honor the contributions women make in our lives.

Her’s a simple and fun DIY project that combines elements of both May Day and Mother’s Day

This flower crown is a perfect accessory for May Day festivities or a thoughtful gift for Mother’s Day You can customize it with your favorite flowers or colors. It’s simple, yet beautiful project that anyone can do with just a few basic supplies.

Flower Crown:

Materials:

Floral wire

Assorted flowers and greenery (real or artificial)

Instructions:

  1. Measure the floral wire around your head and add an extra inch or two to create a circle. Cut the wire to size.
  2. Twist the ends of the wire together to create aa circle. Use floral tape to wrap around the wire to secure it and create a smooth surface.
  3. Trim your flowers and greenery to size.
  4. 4. take your first flower and wrap the stem around the wire circle. Use floral tape to secure it is place.
  5. 5. Add more flowers and greenery, wrapping each stem around the wire circle and securing with floral tape. You can create a pattern or choose a mix of colors and shapes.
  6. Continue adding flowers until the crown is full and you’ve covered the wire circle.

Marcia…we have been so busy …we recently moved back to a home we built several years ago…beginning a new garden…everything, we started some much needed repairs, from a recent storm. Still digging through boxes that are up to my eyeballs.. However things came to a screeching halt, my husband had a stroke a few weeks ago. Our son is helping me with his dad. I could not do it alone….I am broken hearted. Your posts lift my spirits…thank you for continuing…the power of prayer means a great deal…please pray for us I am reaching out to everyone!
    Your friend,
    Carol

Lovely idea! Thank you for recognizing how important so many women are in our lives. We sometimes forget, or don’t pay attention to where we are drawing inspiration from, on a daily level. And is that not part of the problem in our society today? We simply are unaware and don’t pay attention to what is important and sustaining? Very scary how easily we can slip into that state!!!

    • Marcia Ren says:

      Dear Nancy,

It’s so nice to see you today. In today’s fast-paced and often hectic world, it’s easy to get caught up in our own lives and forget about the importance of connecting with others. But the truth is that friendships with other women can be incredibly valuable and fulfilling…offering us a unique kind of support that we often can’t find in other relationships. Over the years I have found that when I surround myself with strong, supportive women, I have felt inspired and motivated to pursue my goals and dreams. It’s definitely a win-win!

Thank you again for stopping by and your thoughtful comments. Take care my sweet friend.

      Best regards,
      Marcia
