ChRiStMaS EvE….♡

Hello, Welcome to Marcia’s Cottage. I’m so happy to see you today my friend. Shall we have a little tea.

Whew, where has December gone! How are you doing with all your holiday plans? Being that today is Christmas Eve…

you more than likely have finished decorating, gift buying, perhaps some baking, and, maybe you even  have a few parties behind you. Yeah! And, now hopefully you are able to sit back and enjoy this magical season with loved ones.

The holidays are one of my favorite times of year.

They are wrapped with all my favorite traditions,

time spent with friends and family, baking, gift making,

and most importantly a focus on love and gratitude.

During the past 11 years of marriage, my husband and I have had a lot of freedom with how we choose to celebrate the season.

Some of our traditions have changed over the years, and new ones took their place.

Every year we enjoy attending a church service on Christmas Eve.

It is a children’s service, and we just love being a part of it. Afterward, we have dinner, and then visit friends.

Christmas day, is spent exchanging gifts…

taking a morning walk, and later enjoying a wonderful Christmas brunch. I’m looking forward to creating new traditions in the future.

Of course now I’m wondering what your holiday traditions are like. One of the things I have learned is to count my blessings during this magical time of year, and to remind myself of all the wonderful things I have.

This time is definitely filled with reflection…since the holidays are perfect for remembering the old, and looking ahead to starting new traditions. Here’s wishing you the merriest of Christmases!

“For unto us is born this day in the city of David, a savior who is Christ the Lord…that’s what Christmas is all about Charlie Brown.”
