A Surprise Announcement…..♡

Hello,Welcome to Marcia’s Cottage. I’m so happy to see you today my friend. ♡ Shall we have a little tea. .♡

Much to the dismay of my wonderful husband. .. I am announcing today that I’m now a Carmelite Nun. (Big smile) oh darn…I just can’t fool you… April Fools!

All kidding  aside though,
I do have a Home away from home, and I am a devotee of the Carmelite community.

This is the home of the Carmelites in Los Angeles, Ca. where I’ve attended Women’s retreats for over 11 years now. ♡ The retreats are heavenly. …♡

At the heart of the Carmalites vocation, is their unwavering,  and passionate mission to facilitate the encounter with a “LiViNG” God through prayer,  and a contemplative life. ♡

The Carmelites nurture the spiritual lives of families through SeRvICe in Education, ReTrEaTs, and HeAlThCaRe. They live a life of PrAyEr.
 I lOVE that! I’m wondering how much better our world might be,  if we AlL followed this path.

Over the years,  I’ve also had the opportunity to get to know a few of the Nuns more deeply. I’ve discovered that they have wonderful personalities.. and hilarious sense of humors. They have chosen to make a difference in life, through their Cloistered walk in community.  They have taught me much about how I would like to live my life. ♡
And of course  I’m wondering if you too have friends that have chosen a committed life of service.  Wow… No joking around…. You are lucky if you do. Hold on to them. They are 
special teachers. ..♡ Teachers of JoY…♡
BTW… In gratitude of this special Sisterhood I’ve found, I wanted to share that they recently came out with a new CD. It is called “Lean into the wind” It is a beautiful compilation of music sung by these beautiful women.♡
