A ReD, WhiTe, AnD BlUe MoNdAy…♡

Hello, Welcome to Marcia’s Cottage . I’m so happy to see you today my friend. Shall we have a little tea.

Happy Monday!  How was your weekend?

In between watching the World Cup games, and “trying” to clean out the closet in the guestroom,  then watching more soccer. ( btw very fun,  and exciting)  and,  then  trying to console my husband at our favorite Mexican restaurant when Mexico lost. Well….  in between all those goings on….I was having a great weekend!

Because I’ve been so busy organizing a guest room closet,  I haven’t really decorated for the 4 th of July. (Yet)

However, over the weekend I made sure to hang a little Americana. It’s sooooo very important to me to show any passerbys, or visitors my love for our BeAuTiFuL, WoNdErFuL country. After the banners were put up, our little cottage looked like it had a face.  Can you see the two eyes,  and nose?

                               Let me show you

just a few other ways in which I added pops

of a little red,  white,  and blue sparkle around the Cottage.

             I purchased a pack of small flags…

and look where I planted them!

Just little touches of color, here and there…

Can add a sweet festive look.

Oh, and speaking of sweet. …How’s about a  super easy cookie recipe.  It’s a snap to make.

Red, White,  and blue flag sugar cookies

You will need one tube store bought sugar cookie dough.
Press the dough  into a foil lined 8×8 pan. Follow baking instructions on tube. When it is cooked, remove it from pan. Cut into rectangles, and spread on a layer of frosting. Decorate with Americana M&M’s….. Enjoy!

Thanks for stopping by…. I hope you have a lovely day.  Blessings, for a SpARkLiNg, and SwEeT week!

                                        Xoxo. ..

                                        Marcia
