Top of the Mornin’ my friend. …♧

Hello, Welcome to Marcia’s Cottage by the Sea. Tis lovely to see you on this fine Mornin’. And a Happy St. Pat’s Day to you indeed!

The tea is on, & soda bread is baking in the oven. Come, let’s sit and chat for a wee while. ♧

Isn’t that hat cute. ..I got it for my husband to wear today. Sometimes he puts on a green mustache. Everything came from the 99 cent store, where every day is a lucky day.

Later there are plans to attend a St. Patricks dinner. I’m looking forward to that!

Do you have any fun plans for today?

Any chance your visiting friends in Ireland?

Watching the St.Patrick’s Day parade in NY might be fun.

I thought it would be nice to share a recipe with you.

Since everyone is a little Irish today. I found the recipe on Pinterest, which is my home away from home.

• 3 cups flour
• 1/2 cup sugar
• 1 TB baking powder
• 1 tsp salt
• 1/2 tsp baking soda
• 1 cup raisins
• 1 TB caraway seeds
• 1 1/2 cup buttermilk
• 4 TB  melted butter

Pre-heat oven to 350° coat pan with melted butter,or oil & dust with flour. Combine flour, sugar, salt & baking soda in large bowl.
Stir in raisins, and caraway seeds with a fork.
Blend in buttermilk & melted butter until evenly moist. Turn into a round pan. Cut an X on top and bake an hour,  or until knife comes out clear. Let me know if you like it.

I can almost hear those bagpipes playing.

20160225_155219 Whatever you do..I hope it makes you happy my friend, because you deserve it!  Here’s a special Irish Blessing just for you. ..♧
I’ve got MY green all ready to go. Thank you for stopping by. Lovely blessings to you. ♧

Today I arrived at my yoga class with a green tie-dyed t-shirt and a green sweater, totally forgetting that it was St. Patrick’s Day…I found this rather amazing! Hope your day was fun-filled!
