Happy Monday! How was your weekend? Did you do anything special…♡
For me, my favorite kind of weekend is when I can combine, a little fun, work, and relaxation.
And, that’s exactly the kind of weekend I had. Saw a couple of movies, visited with friends, went out for dinner, lunch… and even breakfast! Wow! Lots of eating out this weekend…sometimes that happens. (Grin) of course that was the fun part of my weekend too. The work part (sort of) was a workshop that I had attended on Saturday.
One of my friends had inspired me to attend. She is a facilitator for a women’s bible study I belong to. She asked if I could attend for her. Sure! The first part of the workshop in the morning was on conflict resolution. We learned different ways of resolving conflicts within groups, and individuals.
We actually did a little role playing too, and I volunteered to play one of the parts. One of the other lady’s had to play the role of being very angry with me. We were to use the process of the training that we had learned.
Some thoughts that went through my mind were that, conflict resolution is so important…you might think that in a bible study group there wouldn’t be much conflict.
However, wherever two different people don’t see eye to eye…there will be an opportunity for conflict.
And, it is an art to be able to resolve conflicts in the most loving way. Sometimes the best thing to do is to walk away. However, walking away doesn’t resolve anything. And, the more important the relationship is, the more resolution is needed.. Our day included lunch (of course) …..♡
After lunch, we began the second part, which involved our study on Angels.We began the afternoon with a special prayer. It is called Lectio Divina which is a form of prayer using scripture. This experience was new for me, very relaxing…and I seriously almost fell asleep. (grin) However it was very enlightening. As, the afternoon went on, it dawned on me how lovely all these women were.
Some were young, older, middle aged…different backgrounds. Throughout the day, as I looked around the room, I thought angels are ever all around us. I saw it in the kindness of strangers that day…when I least expected it.
And, then I thought of how we can all be angels to one another. We can choose to obey the still small stirring within, the little whisper that says. “Go, Ask. Reach out. Be an answer to someone’s plea”… the people in my life….many of my friends are angels.
I’m sure you are an angel too gentle reader. These are my angels on earth, and have often been a voice of reassurance, and encouragement.
Little blessings in my life…watching over me.
After all angels are really just beautiful souls who light up the world with their warmth. And, you will know when you meet one…. because, you will instantly feel uplifted, loved, and filled with amazing grace.
