Hello, Welcome to Marcia’s Cottage. I’m so happy to see you today my friend. ♡ Shall we have a little tea ♡
With summer just around the corner, you might be pondering about your next vacation. Well dear friend, I have just the place for you….
especially if you love soulful, magical, gardens.... oh, and of course France.♡
There are places I’ll remember all my life. ..♡
One summer while my husband and I were vacationing in Paris, we decided to take the train into Giverny to see Claude Monet’s gardens. Claude Monet, the master impressionist, noticed this sweet village while looking out of a train window. He made up his mind to move there and rented a house and the area surrounding it. In 1890 he was able to purchase both house and land. He then set out to create the gardens he wanted to paint. Geezer…. Talk about the Law of attraction.♡ He created a breathtaking palette of colors in his gardens.
This is the home of Claude
Monet. You aren’t
allowed to take photos inside.
So we took LOTS of photos
of the outside.♡
The way the home was draped with vines was magical.
You can’t really tell from this photo, however the house is actually pink.
about creating a beautiful life, and learning how to live with intention
One of my favorite parts of the garden was a rose trellis, that lines the path leading up to the garden.
The lily pond, and Japanese bridge were so beautiful, and peaceful.
After we had toured the gardens we walked to the American Museum of Art cafe and had lunch before getting back on the train and returning to Paris.
I’m wondering if perhaps you too have visited this extraordinary garden. Actually I’m getting ready for a return visit myself. (wink)
Thank you for stopping by. Have a lovely day.
We live in a wonderful world that is full of beauty, charm and adventure. There is no end to the adventure that we can have if we only seek them with our eyes wide open.

Hi Carol! So happy to see you. Thank you for stopping by. If you do find yourself in France, you will need to venture out to the small town of Giverny where Claude Monet’s gardens, and former home are located. Truly magical.♡
