My Pre-Holiday Getaway

Your first thought in the morning should be ”thank you”

Hello, sweet friend…

I hope you are well…

I recently returned from a fun getaway to Portland, Oregon…and before I left I had asked a few friends (who once lived there) where I might find the best downtown shopping…

I discovered that depending on the people I asked…I would get a variety of opinions! the Pearl District along with Northwest/Nob Hill were highly suggested…

however I decided to check out Pioneer Place…

which houses big-name fashion stores such as Nordstrom taking up a whole city block

And nearby, spanning another four city blocks are more than 70 retailers, including Louis Vuitton, Kate Spade, Tiffany and Company., Apple, Sara & H & M.

This was the best choice for me since I definitely need lots more time to visit the other more unique and exclusive shopping districts…

so…another return trip has already been planned!

Fortunately, from my hotel the downtown area was quite easy getting around…

However, Public transportation is excellent and readily available…

then of course nothing beats walking with your bestie.

Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours. Just finished a surgical hospital stay and am happy to be back at home. Got home before the SNOW started!!! The Great Lakes, Lake Michigan, and the lake effect snow have hit with a vengeance! We have more to come, but I do thinking we are awaiting the ‘tail end’ of the snow. Woke up to 12 inches this morning. We are hoping we will get out grocery delivery on Saturday! There were great Thanksgiving specials and it will be disappointing if the roads aren’t ready for a delivery to be made.
Thanks for sharing you Portland experience with all of us.

I hope that you and your family have a wonderful Thanksgiving and enjoy your many blessings of home. Take care my sweet friend. Hugs.
