Moving ahead so life won’t pass me by. ..♡

Hello,  Welcome to Marcia’s Cottage.  I’m so happy to see you.  How was

your weekend? Did you do anything special? I hope so. I’d love to hear about it.♡

I had a fabulous weekend. So far I am moving ahead nicely into 2014. I finished taking all the Christmas lights down. (Do a happy twirl) Well actually I loved the color lights so much. .. that I decided it was alright to leave just one strand.

I do love sparkly.♡ With that last little bit of Christmas put away, everything around the Cottage is transitioning into January. Which I’m not really sure what that means as far as winter weather goes.  Oh my goodness we have been  blessed with such gorgeous days. ♡

That’s Cami, she just ADORES swinging. ♡

I actually played a little in our garden. I am
thinking that many of the plants and trees are confused as exactly what to do right now.  Some of them have gone dormant, and a few have decided it’s time to blossom. ♡ I’m smitten by their uncertainly.

This little rose has decided it’s time to BLOOM again. I’m not able to capture it’s brilliant coral color. However it is breathtakingly beautiful. ♡

And this very ambitious climbing rose loves to reach way up HIGH in the trees…

Perhaps it’s looking for a friend. Oh, I think it might have found one! Another little Climber.♡

All our orange trees are filled. .Would you like to taste one? These are SO juicy. ♡ This sweet tree is part of the original grove that was once on our property. So that means it is close to 100 years old! It gets LOTS of love, and respect.

I enjoy fresh squeezed orange juice. Sometimes when I bake scones, I just add the juice from the oranges with chocolate chips into my mix.   Yummy. ♡

Most of the pomegranates have been picked. They have been eaten, made into jam,  or given away.  I had a zillion this year. (Of course I’m just  exaggerating a teeny tiny, itsy bitsy bit)

Here’s a view from upstairs. The pomegranates looking like floating red balls.

I have birds all around the garden. ..

These are the pretend ones. ♡

Isn’t this one sweet? It was a little gift from my friend Joan.♡

I have started collecting seasonal flags. Over the weekend I bought and hung this one. Debbie Mumm is the artist. I love it! It’s waving…”Hello”

The weekend passed by so quickly….

And before I knew it. …

came to a sweet end. Thank you for stopping by and I hope you have a lovely day.

                                             Xoxo. …
