This morning when I went downstairs I noticed that my husband had left me this sweet note.
I thought it was very thoughtful. Almost every morning I’m greeted by a sweet little message.
A very simple loving gesture.
Like the other afternoon when I went to pick up our mail, there was a small little package sticking out of our Cottage mailbox.
I was SO curious…. What was it… Who did it come from? This is SO exciting!!!
I thought it looked so charming stuffed in our little mailbox that I kept taking photos. (It’s a good thing I carry my camera with me at ALL times)
I brought the mail inside, and then took a peek inside the little bag. There was a beautiful Ralph Lauren scented candle. By the way, anyone who knows me… knows I LOVE candles. I usually have one lit whenever I’m home. The gift was from one of our neighbors.
The words were simple. ..”Thank you for your kindness” …♡ I thought Oh how sweet… but “WHAT kindness????)
And after pondering over it forever, and ever. … It dawned on me!
Of course I’m a little embarrassed to admit this (and hopefully this is one post that my sweet, and very humble husband won’t read) However it was HIS act of kindness that got me a free wonderful scented candle..(grin, and THANK YOU with a BIG hug Joe!)
You see for years after his early morning jog, Joe would pick up our neighbors paper, and place it closer to their home. They never knew who was doing this, until one day they “caught” him in action. Honestly, he’d rather they not have caught him in the act. My husband is just that way. Anyway, that’s why I got the candle.
This has inspired me to do something kind for someone else. .. without THEIR knowing. I’m wondering if you ever feel this way, or perhaps like me you you have been a lucky recipient..I sure hope so! (Grin)
