Hello, Welcome to Marcia’s Cottage by the Sea. ♡ I’m so happy to see you today my friend. ♡ Shall we have a little tea. ♡
It seems hard to believe, that in a few days it will be time again for another wonderful school year. Perhaps school has already begun where you live…
Here in my little corner of the world….first day of school begins on Monday. Oops, no…of course I meant Tuesday. (grin)
Preparing to go back to school can be one of the most pleasurable aspects of the summer. Well, at least it was for me when I taught elementary school.
I loved going school shopping. Especially shopping for new clothes.
Creating outfits
finding the right accessories, shoes, purses…
was ALWAYS so much fun
A.c.t.u.a.l.l.y, I’m sort of depressed that I don’t have a reason to shop now that I’m thinking about it, I really miss preparing for another year.
Things, like shopping for clothes the excitement of seeing friends again after the long summer.
Or, the fun of getting a new and pretty haircut…
pencils, paper, and lotsandlotsofclothes!
When I was a child it’s what made returning to school an EVENT, something to look forward to. Recently, I think I must have feeling a bittersweet sad that this part of my life was now behind me… Just a little sad…not a lot..(giggle,) so I decided to check out the possibility of volunteering at the local elementary school.
Thinking, that just maybe… this will be a win, win situation for everyone!
okayokayokay….With all that said, how was your summer? Were you able to go somewhere special?
Perhaps, family or friends came and visited you. As for myself, the summer has flown by.
In many ways my summer felt like one very long vacation.
Since technically I moved to the coast right before summer began.
And, other than a quick visit back to California…
I’ve been hangin out here all summer.
With the weather being so nice…it has been one endlessly cool summer.
Never the less another year has passed, and the excitement of the next season is upon us.
And, of course with the possibility of an important volunteering position (big smile)
I thought I should do a little shopping. Yes, some habits are hard to break. (wink)
Here’s to celebrating everyone’s hard work….Happy Labor Day!
