Hello, Welcome to Marcia’s Cottage. I’m so happy to see you today my friend. ♡ Shall we have a little tea. .♡
Particularly since my most recent trip to the Oregon coast. It’s been a powerful reminder of the glorious gift… our Earth.
It is so strange to think that Earth Day became “official” when I was still in high school♡ Yikes, is that really possible? However, it wasn’t until my first year in college, that my Biology instructor introduced me to a wonderful story… that was written by no one other, than the fun, and WhImSiCal, Dr. Seuss. The book is called “The Lorax”. It chronicles the plight of the environment, and is told by the remorseful Once-ler…. to a young boy curious as to why the world is the way it is. ♡
The Lorax is an adorable little, orange creature fellow who speaks for the trees. ♡
At the end, Once- ler reveals that he had saved one last Truffala seed, and gives it to the boy so that he can create a new forest.♡
Okay, now this is REALLY weird. .. but for 30 years, I read that story on April 22, to the children in my classroom . WoW! The story is uplifting, because it stirs as a reminder that our actions (even small) always make a difference. One persons actions can change the world.♡
Just planting little seeds.
And watch them GrOw…..♡
Thank you for stopping by today. I hope you enjoyed your visit. Have a lovely day.♡
Xoxo. …
