Entre Nous…♡

Hello, Welcome to Marcia’s Cottage. I’m so happy to see you today my friend. Shall we have a little tea.

Happy Thursday! How are you? With the weekend just around the bend. .. Are you making any plans?

Can I share a little secret? Little  Mademoiselle Cam’i,  is upset with me. I’m not quite sure how she figured out that I’m trying to plan a little vacation for my husband and I. Perhaps, it is because she keeps “catching” me reading all things French. (Big smile) Hmmm.. She is definitely smarter than I  already thought she was!

Well,  if truth be told….(darn) I HAVE been reflecting of a wonderful trip I had taken to Paris. Joe,  and I celebrated our second anniversary there. That’s a photo of us on the morning we departed from Los Angeles, Ca. We have this little ritual,  I think it is rather sweet. (Of course) We book a room in LA, the day before our flight. And have a luxurious dinner. We Believe traveling should be civilized.

Omg… It is so funny,  to see me writing in my journal.  This photo was taken the night before we left for the O’Hare airport in Chicago. Geezer,  I look so serious. .. What was I writing? Well,  I was probably writing about the adventure of flying to a foreign country, and the new journey I had just embarked on in my marriage. ♡ Now, that’s a whole other story in, and of, itself. (big smile)

We are driving to our hotel.  I can not even begin to tell you how excited I was! The sweetest Lady had been waiting for us at the Charles De Gaulle airport.  She was holding a sign that said Marcia, & Joe. I remember being so  captivated. .. I said “pinch me Joe!”  (of course he did didn’t)

This is a view from our hotel room.  We were staying at the Hotel Madeleine. It was adorable.

I have racked my brain, trying to remember our little helpers name. I will have to just refer to him as An’dre. An’dre was so charming. He recommended all the “out”  of the way restaurants for us to eat at. This is the funniest thing…guess what we ate on our first night in Paris? yep…you got it….Chineese food. Thanks An’dre!

As,  I reflect about that wonderful trip,  there are a zillion stories to be told. I must confess I had been fascinated by the “Stereotypical” French girl. .. Extremely thin, casually chic, and fashionable despite a simple wardrobe. ♡ However, what I realized about the French gal,  was no matter what shape her body, or her age,  she had a certain quality of confidence. That certain ‘je ne sais quoi‘.

Traveling opens up so many opportunities to explore that deeper sense of adventure within each of us. ♡ sigh. ..

                             Norte Dame…

                            Along the Seine…

I am NOT going to tell you what famous restaurant this  was at. ..No, no, no…. Don’t even try to get it out of me. Okay,  this much I will say. While we were having lunch,  a mouse ran across the floor.  Seriously.  Le’ mouse, Le’ floor, Le’ run. Sorry,  I never was very good at speaking French. Well, anyway…. blah,  blah,  blah. ...♡I have a zillion stories,  and a trillion photos. Perhaps,  I will share more during the upcoming summer.

Oh darn, I just came across this photo…. and of course, I have to share.  Annick Goutal, is my favorite perfume in the whole wide world.  I was in heaven to be able to purchase a teeny, tiny,  bottle of perfume.

Oh dear. .. Looks like Mademoiselle Cam’i is trying to communicate with me. Well,  at least she’s talking to me again.  Oh,  Gosh. ..I just could never go to Paris without her! (smile)

Thank you for stopping by today. I hope you have a lovely day my friend.

                                                                 xoxo…

                                                                Marcia
