How are you? Hope you had a good week. Any plans for the weekend?
In last weeks post https://marciascottagebythesea.com/nantucket-new-york-and-beyond/I mentioned about an upcoming vacation to the East Coast.
It’s sort of funny to use the word “vacation” since I live in a small coastal town on the Oregon Coast,
that often feels like I’m always on vacation. Well, so anyway…
Earlier in the week Joe and I flew into Boston on the red-eye, rented a car…
And, then took a leisurely drive through Cape Cod..
where we stayed in a lovely hotel.
And later in the week took the ferry to Nantucket
where we are spending a few days at a charming Bed and Breakfast.
I love this small island.
There are many small cottages here that I fell in love with.
It’s very charming, and reminds me a little of the small seaside town I live in.
We have explored the main town
and had lots way to much to eat.
There are so many adorable shops to peruse in. Whale decor is everywhere.
I’m keeping my eyes open for the perfect souvenir.
Of course there are beautiful sunsets here.
Perfect fall days with barely any clouds in the sky. I’m thinking that perhaps I’ll have to write a whole post just on Nantucket. It’s just so charming! After our stay in Nantucket…
and more than likely by the time your reading this we will be on our way to meet up with lots of old friends in New Jersey, and then spending a little time in NYC. Needless to say we have been busily having fun. So many amazing stops along the way.
