A Sense of Belonging
“The heart wants what it wants.”Emily Dickenson Hello, sweet friend… This week marked two weeks since we moved into our 1927 Cape Cod home… a home I knew from the moment I walked through the doors… It would be the perfect place for sharing special times with family and friends. From the first glance I envisioned early morning walks in the neighborhood… meandering through my garden… Evenings spent in cozy rooms… a home where countless dreams and memories could be made… Yes this home…would be a perfect gathering place. That being said…and amongst the fact that I’m still sifting through … Read the full blog post

R.I.P. MacKenzie💕
Goodbyes are not forever. Goodbyes are not the end. They simply mean I’ll miss you until we meet again.💕 Hi my name is Joe and I want to relate a story about our cat MacKenzie. MacKenzie had come to us 11 months ago because he was a neighborhood cat that Marcia just felt a lot of empathy and pity for. He didn’t seem to have any home… he just was wandering the neighborhood. MacKenzie just really had a big impact on Marcia and she just felt like she got a special emotional bond with MacKenzie… and said that MacKenzie did … Read the full blog post

The Making of a Home
“Home…a gathering place for family to join together in laughter. The one place you will always be surrounded by those who love you. A place or feeling of belonging.” -anonymous Hello, sweet friend… I am just returning from the premier of Downton Abbey any chance you too went to see it? I’m now reflecting on the question: “What makes a house a Home?” In many ways… homes embody how we live and see ourselves… spaces which evolve when we focus on what makes us happy… and then creating a place of comfort… enriching our lives in the process. Home is … Read the full blog post

I remember driving the country roads through a small town passing this pretty storybook house. Looking back now… I can see that was when the spark was lit… bit by … Read the full blog post
