Happy Thursday! How’s your week going so far? Are you ready for the 4th? Today my friend Beverly is coming over for lunch . So I need to write a  Boom~ Boom~Boom~ post~

One of the things that I’d like to CeLeBrAte, are AlL my many wonderful friends. In some ways they are similar to the “spirit” of July 4th.  loving, true, brave, independent, and of course some are little firecrackers. (Wink) Which of course translates to fun! And of course, this includes you too gentle reader. (Of course).  For example…

Let me introduce you to my friend Beverly. Beverly lives in Claremont, Ca. We met many, many, many years ago at a ladies bible study. And, guess what? One year, she invited me to stay at her condo in Maui. It just happened to land during the 4th of July weekend. That’s a photo of Beverly and I. I look very different. Well, after all it was a zillion years ago.   AnYwAy ….

                                    Needless,  to say….I was Up! Up! And A~W~A~Y to Maui!

I’d been to Maui several times before. However, NeVeR, EvEr, EvEr, on the  4th of July celebration. ☆☆☆

Oh wait! Silly me, I’ve got a delightful little dessert recipe that I wanted to share with you. And, guess what? Its made with jello! Beverly loves this dessert.You won’t believe how yummy this is.. And, guess what else? I am seriously lov’in jello these days. (wiggle,jiggle, wiggle,giggle,giggle)
American Flag Cake
1 box Betty Crocker (of course) super moist cake mix
1/2 cup vegetable oil
3 eggs
.
1 box strawberry jello
container of cool whip 
1 cup blueberries
2 cups sliced strawberries
1. Bake cake according to package directions in a 13×9 inch pan.  Cool completely.
2.  Prepare Jello by blending boxed Jello with boiling and cool water.
3.  Using a knife, poke a hole in cake every half inch. Then pour liquid Jello over.
4. layer cool whip and fruit to resemble flag.
There you have it, an Americana flag jello cake!
