Hello, Welcome to Marcia’s Cottage. ♡ I’m so happy to see you today my friend. ♡ Shall we have a little tea. ♡
Hi my name is Joe. And, I am Marcia’s adoring, loving husband. (*grunt,*grunt) Marcia is out of town for the day. So, she had asked me to be a guest blogger. And, if you knew my wife…well, let’s just say, she can be very determined when she wants something. I thought: hmmmmmm….great opportunity to tell it how it is! I said “sure, why not.”
Well...how shall I begin…other than I am a little nervous, because this blog is her baby.
I guess I could begin by saying that my wife is the LOVE of my life, whom I really do adore. And, with that said, I must also say that she doesn’t always present the real happenings around here.
I’m thinking it must is part of her personality, or something. I haven’t quite figured it out yet. She tries to see the good in every situation, person, place , and thing. She most certainly has a joyous childlike love for life.
And, works even harder than most people realize…to make everything look perfect effortless.
For instance, let me give you an example. I believe she did a post about happily cooking away in the kitchen, or something like that..https://marciascottagebythesea.com/2014/08/a-funny-thing-happened-on-way-to-vons/ And, the real truth was she forgot about the bread in the oven. And, almost burned the house down! our fire alarm went off…and all the furry kids were shaking for days….along with the smell of smoke lingering. I happened to mention that perhaps she should write a post about that…
Her big brown eyes almost popped out, and she ignored me said something like
“That’s silly Joe. I don’t think that would be a very good idea.” Oh, and I apologize for not uploading all the photos that you normally might see too.
My wife is OBSESSED with taking photos! Drives me crazy! I work as a teacher, and commute quite a distance…so this is about all I can manage. Which reminds me of something else. I am pretty amazed how she does come up with so many posts. Don’t tell her I mentioned this….but, I’m also a little envious of her ability to have such a creative passion. I tell her it is definitely a gift. One that totally took me by surprise. I had no idea that she would become a blogger after her retirement. I was thinking she’d probably get involved with a variety of clubs, or perhaps even open a little gift shop. She use to enjoy buying lots of things shopping.
Ironically, she now claims to be working at becoming a minimalist! (goes to show life is full of miracles) She is so obsessively driven a little driven at times. Well, I guess you have to be, to blog like she does. btw she is so persnickety! she can also be a little picky, and her asking me to be a guest blogger was rather shocking, because she can be very controlling! a nice compliment of trust.
Well, I guess that’s all for now. I actually enjoy this venting blogging thing. Thanks for letting me vent stopping by.
Fondly, (sorry I don’t do xoxo) *wink*wink
Joe
