Hello, Welcome to Marcia’s Cottage. ♡ I’m so happy to see you today my friend. ♡ Shall we have a little tea. ♡
More than likely as you read this post…
I will be on the road to my annual women’s retreat. Surprisingly this will mark the 12th year attending this particular retreat. My how the years go by.
There are many reasons why I plan these retreat days. It’s a time of quiet contemplation, and getting refreshed ~ physically, mentally, and spiritually. Of course the most important one being the experience of adventure. Because, to me the greatest adventure in life is the adventure of going within.
This weekend away allows me the luxury, and opportunity to return back to the task at hand and meet my insides again….sigh…
Well….so how was your January?
One month down, and eleven to go until another year has passed.
Being that I’m in the midst of selling our home in southern California,
and moving to the Oregon coast…https://marciascottagebythesea.com/2014/11/goodbyehello/
I can’t help and wonder what this time next year will be like.
Will I be happy?
Will I like living by the coast?
Will I have made new friends?
Will I miss the California sunshine? Will I?….Honestly, it’s so difficult at times to stay present on the things I need to do right now, t.h.i.s m.o.m.e.n.t in time. More and more I’m convinced that our inner self knows intuitively when a change is needed. We often get distracted by life, and ignore it. Or perhaps, the change is just too scary. I think that sort of happened to me.
When I first really started considering how wonderful it would be to make a few changes in my life, I got a little scared. Making a change is difficult, even when you want it. How about you? Any changes going on in your life? They don’t necessarily need to be big. Even a small change can make a difference in how we experience the day…and perhaps, a huge difference in a year from now. So, anyway this time next year..I’m looking forward to being on the other side of this current change, and more than likely in the midst of another. (grin) Whether we choose it or it chooses us…
change is always just around the corner. Oh, but don’t worry dear reader. .. I’ll make sure to keep you posted each step of the way… writing you from our happy little cottage by the sea….*wink*wink
xoxo..

Hi!
A year later I’m so grateful since many of my questions from last year have been answered with a big YES! However, now new questions, and experiences are in the horizon just waiting to be explored, discovered, enjoyed, and lived.

I think you’ve made the transition in a very positive way. Having a good attitude helps in all situations, AND, moving to a cute cottage by the sea was a good choice! You come across as a very friendly person and I think you could fit in anywhere… ;o)
Hi Jenny!
Thank you. That’s very sweet of you. Living on the Oregon coast is amazing. Every day is different, and a deeper reality sets in. It’s surreal to me that my husband, and I pulled this whole adventure off. Wheeeeee! Hope your having a good week.
