Today my date day is a deck date..Ha! Ha! Oh, and what that means is my husband and I are painting our deck. F.U.N….I just snuck away so I could chat with you a sec…he hasn’t even noticed yet…Hee! Hee!
Happy, Happy, August! It’s hard to believe that Fall is now just around the corner. (big smile)
Today’s post will get straight to the point. Since I’m not sure when Joe will give me his “get over here and help me look” loving look. Okay, soooo…remember the dance from grade school. The one where everyone sings “You put your whole self in, you take your whole self out”…well that’s what today’s post is all about.
Marcia’s Cottage is the part when everyone jumps in and sort of shakes everything. Ha!
Yesterday, I randomly chose a winner for a cottage giveaway. I recently decided to give sweet, cute, or adorable things away on the first day of each month. The idea came to me one day as I was purging, editing, throwing out, screaming, cleaning out several closets.
Being that I had already consigned, tossed, and donated. And, still had a HUGE amount of stuff quite a bit that I no longer used, or needed. That’s when I heard a still small voice whisper “why don’t you give the rest to your gentle readers” (I just love those still small voices)
Anyway, I’d love for YOU to be able to randomly win too! (smile) My blogging comes strickly from the heart. There is no intention on my part on becoming rich and famous. (grin) I created Marcia’s Cottage from an inner desire to share about my little cottage life, thoughts, reflections, and how I try to experience simple everyday joys.
I know that I have a few gentle readers somewhere out there, behind this screen. However, I really only know who you are from my Marcia’s Cottage Page, and Facebook. So, it’s mainly from there I will be choosing a name each month for a sweet little giveaway. And, if by chance you are a regular visitor, you have probably noticed that I am at an interesting, exciting, and adventurous place in life right now. It’s all about letting go of many things. Okay, now back to that circle in the dance where you jump in…I’m learning how to jump out with my whole self. *wink *wink
