I’m having a nice weekend, and MY special plan for today is that I’m getting ready to prepare a nice country French brunch for my husband. I LOVE preparing special meals for my little family. For me this is one of the ways I show my love. Making our Cottage a warm and comfy place gives me SO much pleasure. A few days ago when my husband arrived home from work, I greeted him as he was walking across our deck, he said ” it’s so good to be home.” I hope this doesn’t sound too silly… But that comment made me feel so good. I guess I’m very traditional. I’m finding that nothing has given me such a deep satisfaction as making a home for others. Friday we had invited a dear friend over for dinner.
The weather was so gorgeous, that we decided
to eat dinner Alfresco style. Friday dinners at the Cottage usually consists of salmon, vegetables, and some kind of dessert. ♡
I decided to make mini salmon burgers with avacado, and potatoes. And then for dessert I
baked a chocolate cake. I was very happy when my friend said chocolate cake is one of her favorites. Oh my goodness it was yummy! What a wonderful time we had visiting. Simple pleasures have always made me the happiest in life. I know in my heart that this is what life is all about. Sharing the ups and downs of life with those I love. I’m wondering if you feel the same way. ..I have a feeling you do. ♡
