(not necessarily in that order) The other day I had been reading a wonderful article , I meant to delete it, and ended up sending to a “friend list” so if you are one of those friends that received it….it was a tech~y accident. (grin) Well, anyway, it was about Happiness, and the … Read the full blog post

The Garden Lady
I’m thinking that the first women’s group I ever joined was in second grade. The group was called Bluebirds. I loved that little group. I can’t remember why I wasn’t in it for very long. Anyway since then, there have been a variety of women’s groups I’ve participated in. The groups vary, just as the women I’ve met who participated in them. The range being from down to earth groups, to more privileged clubs. And have included everything in between. I enjoy women’s friendships very much, and know from personal experience that these friendships have helped me grow. Recently I met an amazing lady. I … Read the full blog post

Salmon burger Saturday
Hello, Welcome to Marcia’s Cottage by the Sea. ♡ I’m so happy to see you today my friend. ♡ Shall we have a little tea. ♡ Just wanted to share highlights of my day. I prepared yummy salmon burgers. Have you prepared them before? Super easy, and pretty healthy. Sometimes I crave a good burger, and this always fits the bill. I purchased a little over a pound of steelhead salmon, 3 organic avacados, 2 large organic tomatoes. I use organic mayonayse. I pretty much just panfry the salmon, then break it up. Cut the avacado add a little mayo … Read the full blog post

Gals Gone Wild!
Howdy partner! How was your first week of April? Here on the coast March was wet and wild. Yes mam….wild! As in ride~em cowgirl! And trust me I did! The wind blew in one direction, while the rain went in another. And this former So. Cal Gal was fantasizing about those swaying palm trees in Palm Springs. April arrived and I was so ready for the outdoors. Joe had recently surprised me with two passes to go horseback riding. Yes, you read this correctly..TWO! Woo! Hoo! So I grabbed my gal friend JR and said “Let’s Go! Btw…every gal needs a gal friend … Read the full blog post
Dinner
Hi! Thought I’d drop in and share my dinner. (grin) A funny thing happened tonight. My husband and I had dinner reservations at a local restaurant, and we ended up being the only ones there! We had the entire restaurant to ourselves. Quite funny. I realize that I’m now living in a very small coastal town. However, this took it up a notch! Boy did we get good service. Every once in a while things like this happen. Has this ever happened to you? After dinner we took a drive to test out my new tires. I tried to sneak a … Read the full blog post

Easter Day on the coast
Hello, Welcome to Marcia’s Cottage by the Sea. ♡ I’m so happy to see you today my friend. ♡ Shall we have a little tea. ♡ Today was the first Easter we celebrated in our cottage on the coast. It was a special day. The weather was beautiful. My husband prepared a wonderful lasagne. It’s his trademark dish. We invited special friends over to share it with us. I made a yummy dessert. It’s my trademark. And the coastal Easter bunny was extremely generous with basket treats. I was pleasantly surprised to receive a package of my favorite red licorice! … Read the full blog post

A Kettle of Hope
There comes a time when everything comes together. Well, let me re~phrase that a little. There comes a time when most things come together. Okay…one last try. There comes a time, when things seem to be going pretty well, and your feeling pretty hopeful. There that’s much better! Perhaps it started with a little class I recently took which instructed me how to grow vegetables on the Oregon coast. Yes, everything grows differently on the coast. Not only vegetables. Everything. Or, perhaps it was later in the week when the sun decided to tease me with it’s glorious … Read the full blog post
