A SuMmEr BrEeZe …♡

Hello, Welcome to Marcia’s Cottage. I’m so happy to see you today my friend. Shall we have a little tea.

Happy Wednesday! How’s your week going so far? I hope it has been breezing by.

With the warmer weather here, I’ve been opening the windows early in the morning.  I love the fresh air.

And,  depending on which window is opened… sometimes the fresh air is filled with the wonderful smell  of sweetness too.♡

A few weeks ago, I purchased some fabric.  I had decided to sew curtains for a little window in the kitchen.

The window is a small,  but faces east. The morning sun can be very warm in the summer.

I wanted to block out the intense sun during the summer,  and yet be able to open them up later in the day.

I had made these curtains for the family room.  This window faces east also.  I sewed four panels.

I can just flip the panels back, when the weather cools later in the day.

These were the first curtains I’d sewn. They have three panels that can be flipped back too.

This is the finished product. There’s a lace curtain  which hangs behind. (of course it has little roosters on it) I’m happy with my new curtains. They ad an extra something to our kitchen, and were easy smeasy to make.

Oh,  one more thing, speaking of easy smeasy… This morning I decided to bake peanut butter cookies. Lately,  I’ve been seeing this recipe everywhere.   I’ve made them for years. Guess what. .. They don’t have any flour in them either.  In case you haven’t seen this recipe here it is.

• 1 cup peanut butter
• 1 cup sugar
•  1 egg
• 1 tsp. Vanilla

                 Mix all ingredients together

Roll into little balls,  flatten, and criss cross. Bake @ 350° for 15~20 minutes.  Open a window, let the summer breeze in. … and enjoy.

Thank you for stopping by.  I hope you have a lovely day.

                                          Xoxo. ..
