Hello, Welcome to Marcia’s Cottage by the Sea. ♡ I’m so happy to see you today my friend. ♡ Shall we have a little tea. ♡
Hard to believe that it’s only one week before Christmas. I hope your enjoying this fun and joyful time with friends, and family. I recently returned from a visit to California. I had a wonderful time, however, it was good to return back home to our cottage on the coast. The weather in California was sunny, warm, and beautiful. Of course. (wink)
And, I experienced my first big storm this past week, here on the magnificient Oregon coast.
Did I say real stormy weather (grin)
And, of course what I’m learning is even though I grew up in Southern California, I just might make it as a Pacific Northwestern gal. Who would of thought!
Stormy weather is perfect for getting all cozy at home.
For me that means doing a little baking,
dabbling around with my decorating
and naturally working on my blog. naturally. Oh, and when there is a break in the rain, (which btw can occur several or more times a day)
I hop in my jeep and do those things I need to do.
Most likely the biggest life lesson I’m learning is, that when you want to do something just go ahead and do it! Don’t let anything the rain stop you from doing it. Since, more than likely there will always be something it will stop raining, and then start again. And, again…
With that said, I can’t help but mention to you another thing I’ve experienced recently.
And, that of course is the loveliness of living in a small coastal town.
For me this small town living thing is very new. And, I’d like to say so far…other than a few major storms, oops…meant to say, minor things this small town coastal living thing seems to be working out quite well. Yes, very, very well. Come, let me show you a little of the loveliness of small town charm.
Happy weekending everyone!
Here’s a little Christmas cottage charm. ..
Small town Christmas parade…
And. …here’s my coastal storm…
