La Petite Maison
Hello, Welcome to Marcia’s Cottage by the Sea. ♡ I’m so happy to see you today my friend. ♡ Shall we have a little tea. ♡ It’s a new month, and I’m thrilled to see you today because of course I have a most delightful story to share. At first blush the “house” was just a worrisome project to be undertaken. And, not unlike any new relationship there was no attachment. Similarly it’s a mystery as to when relationship shifts to attachment. Or, as in this case a house becomes a home. Suddenly my soul was captivated by “this little … Read the full blog post
Dinner
Hi! Thought I’d drop in and share my dinner. (grin) A funny thing happened tonight. My husband and I had dinner reservations at a local restaurant, and we ended up being the only ones there! We had the entire restaurant to ourselves. Quite funny. I realize that I’m now living in a very small coastal town. However, this took it up a notch! Boy did we get good service. Every once in a while things like this happen. Has this ever happened to you? After dinner we took a drive to test out my new tires. I tried to sneak a … Read the full blog post

Easter Day on the coast
Hello, Welcome to Marcia’s Cottage by the Sea. ♡ I’m so happy to see you today my friend. ♡ Shall we have a little tea. ♡ Today was the first Easter we celebrated in our cottage on the coast. It was a special day. The weather was beautiful. My husband prepared a wonderful lasagne. It’s his trademark dish. We invited special friends over to share it with us. I made a yummy dessert. It’s my trademark. And the coastal Easter bunny was extremely generous with basket treats. I was pleasantly surprised to receive a package of my favorite red licorice! … Read the full blog post

I must admit I don’t feel that way… however I was just a tad flattered. j.u.s.t a. t.a.d. Anyway, I’ve really been looking forward to celebrating Easter this year, decorating with the less is more approach . We’ve invited … Read the full blog post

Bunnies everywhere!
It’s Bunny week! Here’s my two coastal bunnies. The one on the left traveled with me when I moved from California. The botanical bunny on the right is new. They have become good friends. I Hope you had a wonderful weekend. I’ve actually been quite busy. Lots of Spring cleaning, gardening, a little painting. Hunting for garden art. Actually, I think I just might have found the perfect bike for my garden! I bequeathed my former bunnies to friends in California. What do say we hop back in time for a peek. I’m ready for some fun! Before moving … Read the full blog post

A Kettle of Hope
There comes a time when everything comes together. Well, let me re~phrase that a little. There comes a time when most things come together. Okay…one last try. There comes a time, when things seem to be going pretty well, and your feeling pretty hopeful. There that’s much better! Perhaps it started with a little class I recently took which instructed me how to grow vegetables on the Oregon coast. Yes, everything grows differently on the coast. Not only vegetables. Everything. Or, perhaps it was later in the week when the sun decided to tease me with it’s glorious … Read the full blog post

Come, let’s sit and chat for a wee while. ♧ Isn’t that hat cute. ..I got it for my husband to wear today. Sometimes he puts on a green mustache. Everything came from the 99 cent store, where every day is a lucky day. Later there are plans to attend a St. Patricks dinner. I’m looking forward to that! Do you have any … Read the full blog post
