How was you week? I hope it was good. Any fun plans for the weekend?
There’s nothing like working on a project, to lose track of time. With that being said, if anyone knows what happened to the month of February please let me know.
This past week I’ve been busily working on several projects, creating more of what I see as a vision for our cottage.
Several trips to the hardware & fabric store for items to continue painting living room, and kitchen.
My husband and I agreed that tackling one project a month was reasonable, and civilized. (I got away with a few more, being that I’m not always reasonable) (grin)
I’m determined to stay very simple in the decor, and yet have a French seaside cottage ambience.
Also, I’d like our cottage to reflect a sense of adventure from our travels.
A few plants were purchased for the kitchen garden window.
And, a swag was created to go above another smaller window.
It’s very satisfying to participate in the process.
As you can imagine, often the process goes in another direction, taking on a life of it’s own.
I was serendipitiously surprised when our gardener trimmed back our front side yard tree, which now allows a peek view of the river. (itsy bitsy, teeny~tiny peek) This was such joy for me! Let’s face it these days it doesn’t take much to make me happy. Painting, gardening, lunch with a friend, perusing through antique shops, my glorious walks..
Simple richness of life.
Hope you have fun plans for the weekend. As for me, I’m looking forward to our good friend Jeff visiting from California.
Thank you for such a charming post and enjoy your weekend!
Love your “little this and that”!!!!!! Makes me feel a ‘little’ guilty because I have a couple of ‘nothing accomplished’ days this week. Nothing specific, I should say. Did manage to read 4 books and have extensive pj time!!!!! Does replacing smoke alarm batteries count? That little beep was very annoying as I was trying to read. Hope you have a wonderful weekend!!! I ran errands today and found some wonderful and appropriate birthday cards for dates that are fast approaching. Special friends need special cards!
Hi Nancy! Thank you for your sweet comments, and for making me laugh! Don’t feel guilty…because reading 4 books and pj’s sounds delightful. And, yes replacing smoke alarm batteries most certainly counts as work. I always tell myself to get organized with my cards…something to work on.
