A California Girl Tea
Hello, Welcome to Marcia’s Cottage by the Sea. ♡ I’m so happy to see you today my friend. ♡ Shall we have a little tea. ♡ Well, I don’t usually write a Saturday evening post. However, one of my California girlfriends sent me these photos from a tea party that I missed. The party was yesterday. (Friday) I sure would have loved to have flown in for the weekend and surprise everyone! But, the timing didn’t work out. I’ve been busily painting 3 rooms in our seaside coastal cottage in preparation for flooring that is due to be installed early … Read the full blog post

Spring has Sprung
I’ll never forget those early years of teaching. Especially those early years. Particularly this time of year. Spring. As a young elementary school teacher I was often excited to teach young children about Spring. We planted beans in a little cup, watered them, and put them in a warm window to wait. Christmas Tea Time
Earlier this week I hosted an afternoon Christmas Tea. It turned out very nice. I invited a couple of friends over, and created a sweet, simple tablescape for lunch. A veggie pot pie, salad, and Christmas cookies for dessert were served. The choice of tea was a Christmas blend, and a Rose tea. Perfect! I highly recommend an afternoon such as this. It’s really very easy to organize, plan, and put forth in action. I promise the work will be well worth the effort. Your friends will enjoy chatting away the afternoon, and celebrating the joyful spirit of the season.
