JANUARY 2017
Today’s post comes with a request. I ask that before the day ends you get up & dance. Go on you can do it. ~Marcia

As I contemplate the beginning of a new year, I feel excited.
I had actually written another post for today.
However, I tossed it when earlier this week it snowed on my sweet, beautiful coast. A rarity I’ve been told.
I grabbed this rarity by the horn and decided to write a different post.
Somehow the magic of a snowy day reminded me of the preciousness of life. how quickly it comes, is lived, and then goes.
Ironically I had also been pondering about resolutions for the year. also another rarity
It seems as if that’s what the new year challenges us to do.
At the heart of a resolution is the desire to have this year be even better than the last.
I have to say I tossed those resolutions out too.
I’ve become an expert tosser
Instead, thanks to my snowy day I realized that what I really want in 2017 was to live a simpler & yet more abundant life.
So instead of resolution, I choose to re~commit to what brought me to this small town on the beautiful Oregon coast
where it is snowing
which was a deep desire to live a life of beauty.
Sounds pretty simple.
I’m thinking that’s the magic of living in the moment.
and a little snow.
Wishing you a wonderful January!

First thing I did was get up and dance!
Thanks for the wonderful reminder to live simply and look for the joy of each day!
HI Joe! You are so welcome! Keep dancing. ..you are great at it.
I am currently in Atlanta and have been watching the weather app for OR….Oh my! We return late tonight to Eugene and I’m truly hoping that snow is melted. Cute snow people in your yard! Reflecting on last year, looking to the future…resolutions to ponder…head up!
Hi Jenny! I hope you had a nice vacation. Eugene is much cooler than the coast. I went there recently for my “city” fix.
Love your blog and post Marcia, so happy! Makes me smile
