“Colors are the smiles of nature… they are her laughs, as in flowers. ” ~Leigh Hunt
Hi. …how’s your summer going?
I just returned from a walk on the beach.
This is a fabulous time of year on the Oregon coast.
Fresh clean air. Cooler weather. Glorious.
I’m very fortunate to live in an area that is abundantly filled with all the beauty of nature.
And, today is your lucky day my friend.
We are going on a nature stroll.
Don’t worry it won’t take long to share photos from a recent Facebook photo challenge I experienced.
The challenge included sharing photos of nature for 7 days, and then each day inviting another person to the challenge.
I enjoyed everything about this challenge.
It was fun to see others’ photos, and share my own.
However, what particularly spoke to me during this challenge, was my need for connection. Our need for connection. A connection with others and their experiences of beauty found in nature. I came to the conclusion that we all need this connection.
Taking a beach walk
long hike
wandering through a garden
Or walking along a stream.
This connection helps us disconnect from stress, and reconnect to our heart.
For me nature is God’s reset button for my mind, body, and spirit.
I get rejuvenated by taking time to slow down, and notice the beauty around me.
Wishing you a radiant Summer. May its colors and warmth, bring you joy.
*unless otherwise noted photos were all taken by yours truly on the Oregon coast. The floating oranges were also taken by yours truly…in sunny California. (grin)
Thank you for the beautiful photographs!
Beautifully done, Marcia! What lovely thoughts equal to the photos!
To be able to explore and share this fantasy land with you makes it even more special and beautiful.
So very beautiful Marsia. I enjoyed every photo. Yes, we must slow down and look for the beauty in our own part of the world. It is there. Thank you dear Lord.
Lovely! Mother Nature is always near us…we just need to see/observe/appreciate…
