Springtime Fun: Easy and Delicious Recipes for Bake Sale Success👩‍🍳

Being part of the Auxiliary for our local hospital, I recently embarked on a baking adventure to whip up some treats for a bake sale. Not only were these recipes easy to make, but they were also incredibly fun. Despite the temptation of munching on M&Ms and pretzels along the way, I managed to create two delightful treats that were perfect for the occasion.

Spring Flower Cupcakes

• Cake mix
• Store-bought frosting
• Marshmallows
• Sugar-colored sprinkles

Instructions:

1. Follow the directions on the cake mix to prepare the batter.
2. 2. Make cupcakes using the prepared batter and bake them according to the instructions.
3. Once the cupcakes are baked and cooled, cut marshmallows in half with scissors.
4. Sprinkle the sticky side of the marshmallows with sugar-colored sprinkles.
5. Press the marshmallows onto the frosting of each cupcake to create pretty spring flowers.

Pretzel Flower Treats

• Pretzels
• Vanilla-flavored wafers
• Pastel colored M&Ms

Instructions:

1. Preheat the over to 250 and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. Arrange pretzels on the parchment paper in flower shapes.
3. Place vanilla-flavored wafer on each pretzel.
4. Bake in the preheated oven for 4 minutes.
5. Remove from the oven and gently press five or six pastel M&Ms around the vanilla wafer to resemble flower petals.
6. Allow them to cool completely before serving.

Baking these springtime treats in my kitchen was not only a joy but also a great way to contribute to a good cause. Whether you’re making flower cupcakes or pretzel flower treats, these recipes are sure to bring a smile to everyone’s face.
