I’ve got to say that earlier this week the weather on the coast had been so nice & warm that I actually thought about digging out my bikini ha! & hanging out at the beach for a few days finishing up that summer reading.
rain however is in the forecast…
With that said and just in case you find yourself longing for a little coastal getaway along the Oregon coast that is this Veteran’s Day weekend
I have a simply fabulous place for you to visit.
It’s an adorable shop called Simply Cottage
located right off Hwy 101 in the charming town of Coos Bay.
I think you will love it here.
I first discovered Simply Cottage when I arrived on the Oregon coast
in the summer of 2015.
For me Simply Cottage is one of those shops you feel very comfortable with the moment you walk in. soulful
With a cozy home like feeling, and the friendly shop owner Brenda who with her warm smile invites you to come inside you will want to pull up a chair and visit a while.
I was thrilled to find Simply Cottage since many items are shabby chic beachy style, with a touch of french. Tre’s chic
The shop is a combination of several favorite shops that I had often visited during my vacations while still living in California.
Vacations that were regularly spent along the coastal towns of Santa Barbara, and Carmel at quaint Inn’s and perusing their shops along the way.
Rooms & Gardens was one of the shops I really enjoyed in Santa Barbara. Are you familiar with it?
A particular shop in Carmel which is no longer there had old hardwood floors with lots of chippy like painted furniture.
Simply Cottage is a blending of both. Here you will find small and large treasures, many of which have been lovingly refurbished, & restored
So they look simply adorable in this your sweet cottage. home (grin)
Wishing you a great weekend my friend. Stay safe.
And a big loving Thank You to all our wonderful Veterans!
During one of my walks this week I met a baby crow that was learning how to fly.
Thank you for that beachy, cottage tour!
I will be going to a quilt retreat in Coos Bay in February and will be sure to visit this quaint shop!
Hi Jenny! How fun for you. I’m sure you will enjoy this cute shop. There’s also quilt shop in the area too. Oh, you probably know that huh…:)
