As the final part of my January decluttering series, I wanted to end with one of the most personal and comforting spaces in our home…our bedroom. For me, this room has always been a retreat, a place to recharge and reflect. Over the past few week, I’ve focused on decluttering and simplifying different areas, and refreshing the bedroom felt like the perfect way to wrap up this journey.
When I began this reset, my goal was to create a calm peaceful sanctuary where everything had its place, and the room could feel like an inviting escape from the day-to-day. Here are some of the simple but impactful changes I made to refresh the space.
- A Little Morning Convenience: One of the first things I added was a small basket filled with breakfast bars and a charming pink Keurig coffee maker. I love starting my mornings with coffee and a light snack, and having these right here in the bedroom feels like such a small luxury. It’s so nice not to have to head downstairs first thing in the morning…I can ease into my day with a warm cup of coffee in hand.
- Refreshing the Bookshelf: My little bookshelf got a much-needed straightening up. I rearranged a few favorite books, cleared out the clutter, and left just the ones I’m currently reading or cherish the most. A clean, tidy bookshelf feels like a breath of fresh air!
- A Touch of Nature: I added a small flower pot to one of the side tables. It’s a mazing how something as simple as a little greenery can brighten the space and create a sense of tranquility.
- Camille’s Corner: Camille’s little toy box got some love as well. I straightened it up and gave her corner of the room a refresh. it makes me happy to see her little area neat and organized…it’s like a cozy nook just for her.
Each of these small changes brought a sense of order and comfort to the space, and I love how everything feels lighter and more intentional now. Our bedroom has become a place where I can truly unwind, and I’m reminded of how important it is to create spaces that nurture and support us.
As I conclude this decluttering series, I’m grateful for the clarity and peace it’s brought into my home and my mind. Sometimes, it’s the smallest adjustments…like a flower pot or a tidy bookshelf…that can make the biggest difference.
Here’s to creating spaces that bring us joy and calm, and to finding peace in the simple beauty of our everyday surroundings.
What a comfortable bedroom and simply charming and free flowing!
The little pets seem really to enjoy the comfort.
Great ideas to share! Thank you
Its HEAVENLY xoxo
