Reflections on 2024

As the tides of time flow, 2024 leaves behind a shore of cherished memories, lessons, and gratitude, shaping the horizon of what’s to come.

As the year draws to a close, I find myself reflecting on the moments that shaped 2024…a year filled with growth, creativity, and gratitude. Living along the beautiful Oregon coast, I’ve embraced the rhythm of the seasons, the joy of community, and the little moments that make life extraordinary.

This year, much of my time was devoted to music and performance, as I took on the role of a pianist for our local theater. From rehearsals to performances, it was a journey that challenged me in ways I never expected. Though there were moments of doubt and exhaustion, there were also times of immense pride and joy. I’m grateful for the lessons learned, the friendships formed, and the confidence gained along the way.

My garden was another source of inspiration, a sanctuary of color and life. From the first blooms of spring to the vibrant sweet peas of summer and the golden hues of fall, it was a constant reminder of the beauty of resilience of nature.

While 2024 wasn’t without its challenges, it also brought extraordinary opportunities, including the chance to travel to London and experience The Nutcracker at the Coliseum. The timeless story of Clara resonated deeply with me this year. Her journey of discovery, finding joy and magic in unexpected places, felt like a reflection of my own path…seeking happiness and a sense of home within myself and the world around me.

As I look ahead to 2025, I carry with me the lessons and blessings of this past year. My hope is to continue nurturing the creative projects I love, exploring new opportunities, and cherishing time with those who matter most.
