All journeys have secret destinations of which the traveler is unaware.

As the second week of March, unfolds, it beckons me to pause, reflect, and delve into the depths of my own journey thus far in 2024. This year Lent offers a poignant backdrop for introspection, inviting me to examine my path, both personal and professional.
For me, this period holds a significance, marked by several milestones that intertwine to shape my narrative. It’s a time of contemplation, a time to celebrate the journey, and a time to embrace the transformative power of hope.
Just a few months ago, I celebrated a milestone birthday, a momentous occasion that urged me to ponder the passage of time, and the experiences that have molded me into who I am today. Birthdays, like mile markers on the road of life, prompt us to pause, recalibrate, and set our sites on new horizons.
Moreover, amidst the ebb and flow of life, another achievement adorned my path…the attainment of 1,000 subscribers on my humble YouTube channel. While seemingly small in the grand scheme of things, this milestone, symbolizes, perseverance, dedication, and the unwavering support of the community that continues to inspire and uplift me.
Reflecting on these milestones, I am reminded of the journey that brought me to this moment… a journey that began nine years ago, with a leap of faith from California to the tranquil shores of the Oregon Coast. What initially seemed like a daring adventure has since unfolded into a tapestry of exhilarating experiences, daunting challenges, and profound growth.
In the tapestry of life, each thread represents a moment cherished, a lesson learned, or a dream realized. It’s a testament to the power of resilience, courage, and the willingness to embrace the unknown. As I navigate the currents of change, I find solace in the words that resonate with me throughout this journey…hope, transformation, and celebration.
Hope, as a guiding light that illuminates the darkest of paths, reminding me that even in times of uncertainty, brighter days, lie ahead. Transformation, as the constant evolution of self, shaped by the winds of change in the crucible of experience. And celebration, as the joyous acknowledgment of milestones, both big and small, leaving a tapestry of gratitude and appreciation for the journey thus far.
And to you dear reader, I extend my heartfelt gratitude. Thank you for joining me on this journey, for lending your ear to these reflections, and for being a cherished part of my story, your presence, whether in person or in spirit, is a beacon of light that illuminates my path and infuses each step with purpose and meaning.
Thank you for being here.
It has been a joy to follow along with you on your journey. Being in my eighties and experiencing the loss of the physical activity I had been able to do, it has lessened that loss by following along with you as make your journey. Vicarious living I suppose is what I am doing. Thanks for sharing your journey, your accomplishments and your joys.
Dear Nancy,
Your friendship has been a cherished blessing, one that I hold dear to my heart. I am endlessly grateful for your unwavering presence and the beautiful connection we share. Whenever I think of you, I’m reminded of the strength you have exhibited in your own life.
As we continue on our respective paths, know that you are always in my thoughts. May your journey be filled with joy, love, and countless blessings.

With heartfelt appreciation,
Marcia
1st of all….CONGRATULATIONS on @1000 YouTube followers!!!!! You make us happy and bring calm to our lives! Did you get new white lacey curtains in your dining room? AND ….you may already know….My FAV thing at Trader Joes is their brand of bagel in the bread section…SESAME SEED!!!! Omgoodness they are THE BEST! While the Trader Joes closet to us is a pain to get to , its NOT 2 hours away!!!!!!
Dear Donna,
You’ve always been such a special friend, and I truly cherish our friendship. Your positive comments and warm presence have brightened many of my days. Remembering the time you and Bill drove all the way to my beautiful coast just to visit ME!…(giggle) brings a smile to my face. What a pleasure it was to spend that time together.
I’m touched by your KEEN observation skills, Donna. Yes, those white lacy curtains, and my dining alcove are in D new, and I’m delighted that you noticed them. They add such charm to the dining alcove, don’t they?
And oh, the adventures I’ve had including the 2 hour drives. to Trader Joe’s, while it may seem quite the journey, I’m grateful for the memories along the way. Making a day trip out of it is fun, and having an In-N-Out Burger along the way, adds comfort for the trip.
Once again, thank you for being such an amazing friend. Your friendship is truly a blessing in my life. Here’s too many more wonderful moments together.
With warm love and gratitude,
Marcia
