Wanted to drop in and share a re~post. I’ve been thinking about all my tea loving girlfriends in California. I have the best memories of hosting so many fun tea parties with them over the years. Here’s one of my faves. Hope you enjoy it!

Christmas in July
By Marcia Ren
Re~post July 2014
The weather outside is frightful….Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow! Wouldn’t it be delightful to have a little snow in the middle of summer? Well, I am not able to make it snow, however, I would love to invite you inside a sweet little cottage to enjoy a Christmas in July Tea. I’ll even give you a few ideas. Perhaps, you will be so inspired that you might want to host one yourself….there’s still time! Get your cocoa, get comfy, and join me for a Christmas in July Tea!
🎅🏻
I realize that it’s convenient to send out evites. However, I do enjoy “receiving” invitations in the mail.
So, I send out cute invitations to my guests. (of course)
This is my Christmas closet. There is lots of sparkling magical joy inside. Can you see it?
🎅🏻
🎅🏻
Do you see anything that you’d like to use to decorate with?
🤶🏻
Go ahead and take it. There’s plenty of magic for everyone!
I’m loving banners, so I use them a lot for my tea parties. I had this one made by a crafter. Isn’t it adorable!
I also use lots of pinks…
and greens for decor colors.
And… since it is Christmas… Santa
has special gifts for the guests.
When it comes to the holidays, I never forget the Cottage garden when decorating.
Even when the weather outside is frightful, I enjoy having a joyful welcome for my guests.
🎅🏻
I love using the garden to help set the mood, and celebrate the occasion.
The menu is up to you. I usually prepare a variety of tea sandwiches, cranberry/Orange
Scones, and a vegetarian quiche.
You are the hostess…and no matter what…your guests will be having a wonderful Christmas time in July.
And…
What to wear…
If you are in a creative mood….find a dress you like (but don’t wear that often) and, re-purpose it into a blouse, and table napkins. (Grin) Just make sure to allow time for everything. You don’t want to be stressed. After all it’s Christmas. (wink)
Thank you for stopping by. I hope I’ve inspired you to host your own Christmas in July Tea. It’s easier than you think. Just grab a few friends. ..
and your halfway there!

Wishing you a July that sparkles!

Light gives of itself freely, filling all available space. It does not seek anything in return; it asks not whether you are friend or foe. It gives of itself and is not thereby diminished.

Thank you for this ‘Christmas present ‘ in July!
Sister Carol is already posting Christmas thoughts! Thanks for the wonderful memories!
Memories of the heart Becky. ..♡
Do you miss those gatherings? I have seen many of your celebrations here on your blog and these occasions seemed to be a regular part of your life. You sure did it right!!!
Hi Jenny! Yes, I hosted many tea parties over the years. They’ve been a huge part of my life. Memories are wonderful, and I always am so grateful for such fun times. I haven’t had any “real” tea parties here on the coast. But, perhaps soon.♡
