It’s official…Christmas has arrived a bit early at Marcia’s Cottage by the Sea! I know, I know…it’s only October, but I simply couldn’t resist. There’s a certain magic in the air as the holiday season nears, drawing me into its warm embrace earlier each year. With a little help from my husband, the Christmas tree made its journey up from the basement, and there’s already a hint of that festive sparkle throughout our home.

Of course, Halloween has its own special week here, filled with spooky fun and festive charm, but there’s no harm in getting a joyful head start on my favorite season. After all, the holidays seem to fly by so quickly, and there’s something so heartwarming about having just a bit more time to soak in the glow, the nostalgia, and all the anticipation.

This year, I’m slowly easing into the season, bringing out a few decorations each day and savoring every moment. There’s something about this tradition that feels timeless…knowing that, step by step, our home will transform into a cozy holiday haven. The tree stands ready, soon to be dressed in the sparkle of ornaments and lights that whisper stories of past holidays and cherished memories.
