Re-post from June 2015
Hello, Welcome to Marciaās Cottage. ā” Iām so happy to see you today my friend. ā” Shall we have a little tea. ā”
Of course Iām hoping your week was filled with lots of JoYā¦.yes, thatās what I am hoping for you. Mine was busy, fun, and continues to feel a little bittersweetā¦.
Busy part: I continued packing. Fun part: I finally bought a new purse. Well, okay I actually bought two. (grin)
Bittersweet: a keen awareness that I am really getting ready to say good-bye to this sweet little cottage, friends & familyā¦ in my long time state of sunny California.
And, depending on what day you are reading this postā¦depends on where I am.
Very likely Iām either on my way to our new/old home, or perhaps already there.
I plan on returning one last time to southern California to finalize a few thingsā¦say more good-byes, and crymyeyesout.
For the most part everything is clearned out in that sweet little once upon my story book cottage, and Iām ready to live along the coast of the beautiful Pacific Northwest. I am looking forward to sharing my new adventurous journey.
I am also excited to experience this next chapter of life. Itās been a decision thatās taken me many years to make. But, Iām very clear about it. I can see where I have been on my own six-decade journey, and feel blessed beyond belief that I am now at a stage when Iām free to choose the things that Iāve been preparing for. I hope you will continue stopping by for a visit. I would of course miss you if you forget me, since you have been the inspiration behind my inspiration. So thank you. There will be a different way to visit. Iām hoping to go live with my new blog on July 1st.
Itās got a new name Marciaās Cottage by the Sea. The new website is still currently under construction, however it should be up and running by then.
So..ā¦until we meet again stay safe my sweet friend.
xoxoā¦
Marcia
Iām thinking I sort of went āWhat I wearā vlog crazy this past weekā¦.(grin)
Hereās a perennial favorite with all ages. Hereās a basic recipe. You could also try chunky chocolate chip cookies instead of plain chocolate, or use one or more different ice creams. whatever takes your fancy.
ICE CREAM SANDWICHES
2 pints vanilla ice cream, slightly softened
16 large (about 3 1/2 inches in diameter) chocolate cookies
1 cup mini semi-sweet chocolate chips
1. Spread 1/2 cup of the ice cream over the bottom of one cookie and top with another cookie, right side up. Place on a small baking sheet in the freezer and repeat with the remaining cookies and ice cream.
2. Spread the chocolate chips on a plate. Roll each ice cream sandwich in the chips to coat the sides. Wrap the sandwiches individually in plastic wrap and freeze for 2 hours, or until firm, before serving. Serves 8
Enjoy!
oopsā¦hereās one more! I bought a new outfit, and TWO new purses!

Thank you for the wonderful memories!
I seem to be at sixes and sevenses. Why are you moving? And where to?
I read this twiceā¦..when we talked in person and you told me about your moving permanently to Oregon, I didnāt realize how you really felt. Oh my goodness, when you said you were crying your eyes outā¦.it brought tears to me!!!!! I am sure it was so hard to leave everything and everyone you knew behind. Having Joe and Cami is home and I am sure this is how you adjusted! You are living in heaven , so it is the best decision!!!!!!
