One of my favorite photos taken before she married my father or had any of her five children
I really love this photo because it shows the beautiful grace of this amazing woman… who later in life encountered many obstacles and challenges with that same grace.
As I reflect back it wasn’t until I retired that I began to value the many things my mother taught me about life. Most important was that the secret to a good life lies in my thoughts… “If you think you’ll never get over the challenge, just keep going until you eventually succeed.”
The spirit of my mother walks with me every day.

Marcia…so beautiful…beautiful memories…unfortunately, I did not know my mother….however, I tried my very best at being a good mother…and tried to be a good example…and as we all know….the road is not always as smooth as we would like it to be…

Thank you for sharing your beautiful thoughts at this very special time. Your Mother appears to have been a very happy and lovely woman. Some of the memories I have are happy and lovely, but since my Mother died, we have learned some hard lessons. She was not always too happy and struggled quite often in her daily life. But, she was from the generation that didn’t share their feelings, easily, and tended not to open up to others or ask for help she needed. If only we had know that when she was still with us. But, we try to remember the good memories and concentrate on them.
