“Guided by my heritage of a love of beauty and respect for strength – in search of my mother’s garden, I found my own.”~Alice Walker
Hello…
Labor Day weekend often marks the end of summer. I just recently heard that it is also the least traveled holiday. No worries there is still time for a little getaway.
Here’s a perfect spot. Come let’s have a chat.
I’ve been working on this room.
I needed a change.
Soooo…I moved the furniture around
and added a few pops of color.
A little bit of change was an all day venture this past week.
I love the results, and it was well worth the effort.
A reminder that when I am open to the natural rhythms within… change can be positive.
And often worth the effort it takes to create, or provide something new in our lives.
Ironically, those pops of color are also Fall colors.
Something I wasn’t aware of while shifting the furniture around.
My emotional nature has been lining up with the natural world.
Here on the coast change in nature has been subtle.
The summer season is giving way to Fall.
This change is most evident in the leaves on the weeping willow out back, which are turning colors.
It’s so gradual that I hardly notice, until the change is drastic.
I suppose that is part of Autumnal beauty of nature.
She is kind.
She is creating change.
Subtle change, slowly, then motion so swift that we move into the next season of life.
And so we change.
Summer into Fall.
Below is a video I made of the countryside as I was heading home from an area called Coquille. This area is around 20 minutes inland from where I live on the coast. And it’s amazing the beauty that is all around.
Thank you for the wonderful reminder that change is not always painful!
My absolute favorite song by Sting…
Coquille is a lovely area, I’m glad that you’ve discovered it’s beauty. There is SO much to see and experience here in Oregon. Lovely evening on the beach…
Hi Jenny! Yes Coquille is another beauty. Weekends are full of adventure. In loving that I can experience the change of seasons.
