A Day of Self-Care and Discovery

Taking a self-care day to spend time doing what you love is not just a luxury…it’s a vital investment in your well-being & a chance to reconnect with yourself.

There’s something magical about having a day all to myself, a day to explore, indulge, and simply be. My little adventure, which I fondly call my self-care day, recently started with a visit to a new coffee shop I’d heard about. I’d driven by this place countless times but never stopped. This time, I decided to give it a try. The café’s aromatic allure drew me in, and I chose a rich, velvety coffee and a delicious pastry to kickstart my day.

With coffee in hand, I headed to Ross, one of my favorite spots for bargain hunting. The thrill of finding discounts always excites me, especially in the cosmetics section. This time, I was also drawn to the seasonal décor aisle, hoping to find some gems.

My journey then took a soulful turn as I wandered into an antique store. These shops are a treasure trove of stories from the past, and I love feeling the history and essence of each item. Even if I don’t buy anything, the experience itself is so enriching.

Lunchtime was an absolute delight. I dined at a restaurant overlooking the bay, with the sparkling water and gentle breeze providing the perfect backdrop. After a satisfying meal, I took a leisurely stroll along the boardwalk, soaking in the beauty of the day.

The last stop on my adventure was a garden center. Although many flowers were nearing the end of their summer season, I was lucky to find a vibrant assortment to add to my garden.

Having a day to explore, discover, and rejuvenate truly refreshes the soul. It’s a nice break in the week and a gentle reminder to cherish the small joys in life.

      Hi Donna,
I’m so glad you enjoyed the vlog! I had to chuckle when I read your comment about hearing the wind chimes when I was in the shed and thinking they were yours. Something similar happened to my husband! He was watching another one of my YouTube videos where I was cooking in the kitchen, and he overheard our cat Anastasia meowing loudly. He thought she was in the kitchen, wanting food, so he got up and served her some, only to realize later that she wasn’t even there… She was upstairs somewhere! Needless to say, Anastasia was a very happy cat at that moment, ha ha!

Thank you for your sweet comment, dear friend. I’m so glad you enjoyed the blog. Warmly, Marcia ❤️
