“The true secret of happiness lies in taking a genuine interest in all the details of daily life.” – William Morris
Hello, sweet friend…
I hope you are doing well!
February 14th has become a celebratory day of the heart…
it’s an opportunity to express a special gesture of kindness….
for me that means…
hosting a Valentine Tea…
Today I thought I’d share a little insp0 for a gathering…
Trust me…it can be quite fun to decorate using the colors of LOVE: red, pink, & white…
and discovering just the right table covering with something I already have… of course sprinkling those chocolate candy hearts generously around the table has got to be is the best way to spread sweetness all around…
Happy Valentines Day dear friends!❌❤️❌
Let’t Create!
I’ll never forget when I first moved to the Oregon Coast & one of my new friends surprised me with a visit… she asked “have you ever made valentines cards?“ She went on to explain that it was a great excuse to play…along with making something handmade.
You will need:
- blank note card set
- Watercolor set
- paint brush
- scissors
- glue stick
- paint paper
Steps:
1. Using the watercolor paper, paint a couple of rectangles in the colors you’ll want for hearts/design. I did a rectangle in reds/pinks, & greens.
2. Let the paint dry completely. Next, cut out the shapes. I did hearts and a sort of arrow shape, be creative…
3. Glue down the pieces to create a wonderful Valentine’s Day card!
Thank you for such wonderful suggestions for making a fun experience for Valentine’s Day! The tea and the cards were just the right and easy how to dos will enhance any fun Valentine’s gathering.
Happy Valentine’s Day ♥️
