It’s amazing how a little tidying can bring a welcoming change to the seasons first steps indoors.

As the crisp autumn air starts to roll in, I always enjoy adding small seasonal touches to our home. This week, I turned my attention to our entry vestibule…a cozy little space that greets us and guests before fully stepping into our home. It’s amazing how a few simple changes can create such a warm and inviting vibe, especially as the season transitions.
I decided to give the vestibule an autumnal makeover using items I already had on hand. Since our Harvest Tea has come and gone, I was able to pull a few pieces from the dining alcove and reuse them here. I A sweet little scarecrow, a small pumpkin, and some fall leaves and branches found a new home on the top shop. These pieces are simple but bring so much color and character into the space.
I started by sweeping out the vestibule, giving it a fresh and clean foundation. From there, I arranged the scarecrow and pumpkin on the shelf, tucking in the leaves and branches around them. The warm oranges, reds and yellow immediately brought a cozy, seasonal feel.
One of my favorite finishing touches is switching out the decorative flag in front of our house. I have several flags that I rotate with the season, and for autumn, I went with one that features beautiful fall foliage. It’s a small change but such an easy way to embrace the new season from the very first step toward our front door.
These little touches didn’t take much time, but they’ve already brightened but the entry and made it feel like autumn has truly arrived. Have you made any seasonal updates to your space? Whether it’s a wreath, a pumpkin, or just a small corner, It’s always fun to embrace the change of season in your own way.
Wishing you a warm and cozy fall!
