“In order to do something well we must be first be willing to do it badly.”

Hello, sweet friend…
While perusing a recent estate sale…
I spotted a few items that were fabulous finds…
however all had sadly been sold…
disappointing as it was…
I’m also not one to get easily discouraged…soooo….
early the following day I headed over to a local church rummage sale…
it was there I scored quite well on several items…
particularly vintage pictures…
I was thrilled since I’d been working on a gallery art wall in the theme of ‘Homes & Gardens’…
with a plan to display a few pieces of art…
along the stairway next to the banister…
I must admit I was quite smitten with the final results.
I am excited for you and your ‘end of summer haul’!
The gallery looks very tasteful.
Thank you for sharing
You did a fantastic job on your gallery!
Hi Marge, thank you so much! It was fun to gather everything together and create.
How wonderful! I am still trying to empty my storage unit from my move here to MI from PA. However, can’t resist a local on-line auction that has had some really winning items. Many times I do get out-bid and figure it was “not meant to be”, but have been fortunate with other items. Have not done rummage sales because of Covid and the less than positive actions of so many people in this immediate area. I even passed on a library book sale this week, for the same reasons. Your wall of art is looking great. Had one in PA, but am now living in a one floor home. Wish I could do another wall. Will see what happens as more of my stuff is unpacked. Again, love the look of your ‘wall’.
Dear Nancy, it’s always so nice to hear from you. I admire you very much…you inspire me to keep in mind that things work out the way they should. Case in point with the items in your online auction bid. I’m sorry that your area doesn’t feel safe for you to peruse outside…I’m hoping that things get better. Even though I live in a small rural town…I continue taking many precautions in my outdoor adventures. Take care sweet friend!
