Know that you are the perfect age. Each year is special and precious. For you shall only live it once. – Louise Hay
As I reflect on the past week, I’m filled with awe at the remarkable growth and transformation that has unfolded in my garden. The delicate bluebells, once mere buds, now stand in full bloom, painting a serene picture amidst the greenery. Witnessing this natural progression, where every flower and leaf seems to burst with life, fills me with an indescribable sense of joy.
Amongst this symphony of growth, the hydrangeas have emerged fuller and greener, their lush foliage adding a refreshing touch to the landscape And then there are the rhododendrons, whose buds unfurled within a week, revealing a breathtaking display vibrant colors…a delightful blend of light rose and pink shades.
Captivated by the beauty of nature’s palette, I felt inspired to bring a piece of this springtime euphoria indoors, particularly to my living room. With the arrival of a few carefully chosen pillows, I embarked on a journey to infuse my home with the same vitality that graced my garden.
At first uncertain about whether the pillows would complement the space, I found that they seamlessly enhanced the room, adding a pop of color and texture that breathed new life into the space. While arranging furniture around my beloved piano presented its challenges, the evolving ambiance of the room left me content, knowing that every element was coming together harmoniously.
What excites me most about spring is not just the beauty that unfolds outside my window, but the opportunity it brings to refresh and rejuvenate our indoor spaces. It’s about embracing the vibrancy of the season and allowing it to permeate every corner of our lives.
As I sit in my living room, surrounded by the blossoming beauty of both nature and decor, I’m reminded that the essence of spring extends far beyond the garden…it resides with us, infusing our homes with warmth, renewal, and the promise of new beginnings.
Thank you for sharing your wonderful reminder of a fresh approach to indoor decorating ideas. Yes, Spring is the season of birth and fresh ideas and trying to capture the vibrancy of the season both inside and outside in the garden.
Enjoy the Spring!!
A beautiful trip thru your garden. How lovely to see. Very special at this moment; I’m just home from having a knee replacement. Pain has come for a visit, so a real walking tour would be questionable at this time. Was lovely to see all your blooming plants and flowers. As we pulled into the driveway yesterday, there were about a half dozen daffodils that have finally bloomed. MI is behind to say the least. Your home is so lovely. Between walkers, canes ,ice bags , etc my indoor display is rather limited. Thanks for sharing your beauty.
Dear sweet Nancy,
Here is to a speedy and successful recovery on your knee replacement. I’m glad that you enjoyed viewing my garden, and grateful that you were able to witness your own daffodils. I bet they looked lovely.
Love & best wishes…
Marcia
