As June draws to a close, I find myself reflecting on the rhythm of this past month… soft days that have felt both full and spacious, familiar and new. The beauty of beginning again is that it offers the tiniest moments a chance to shimmer: a walk around the corner, revealing a hidden garden, a new friend extending a thoughtful invitation, a performance in a small theater that feels more like home than a grand hall ever could.
I’ve been quietly soaking in my surroundings here in our townhome and in this town. While, the boxes have long been unpacked, it’s the routines, the meaningful connections, and the personal touches that have begun to anchor me. There’s a coziness taking root… little corners styled just so, sunlight through familiar windows, a soft blanket folded at the ready, Camille curled beside me.
This month, I was invited to a lovely luncheon… hosted by a friend I’ve only recently come to know, but who extended such warmth and grace. It was the kind of afternoon that made me feel quietly known, even in a new place. Laughter floated through the air, stories were shared, and I had the chance to meet other women who were gently weaving themselves into the fabric of this new chapter.
There have also been slow walks under dappled trees, glimpses of local theaters tucked in unexpected corners, and a play or two that left me thinking long after the curtain call. These moments… small but rich… are what I’ll carry forward.
I’ve come to believe June isn’t just a bridge into summer; it’s the gentle teacher, reminding us that beginnings are layered. They arrive in sips of tea, open doors, and new paths to explore.
Wherever you are today, I hope June has held something soft and meaningful for you, too.
