It’s the first evening of November, and as I was working on my writing, I happened to look up — just in time to see a rainbow stretching across the soft pink clouds.
There was something about that moment that felt quietly complete. The day had been lovely — simple, full, and calm — and the sight of that rainbow seemed to gather it all together with a gentle whisper: accept what is, and let it be enough.
I’ve always thought November carries its own kind of grace. It’s a month that invites reflection and gratitude — a season that encourages us to pause, breathe, and notice the beauty in ordinary moments.
Tonight, as the light faded and the colors deepened, I felt thankful… thankful for the day, for the work, and for the reminder that even the briefest glimmers of color can brighten our hearts.
Gratitude: Today I’m grateful for the simple gift of looking up at just the right time.

Keep looking up Marcia! I really enjoy all your posts! First time commenting.. but wanted you to know that I love reading all that you’ve written these past years. And your adventures are amazing
Aw, Sandy! your note absolutely made may day. “keep looking up”…I can hear your voice and it brought me right back to our California days together. Thank you for reading along all these years and for cheering me on. I miss you and would love to catch up and hear how you’re doing. If you have a minute, will you send me a quick hello through my blog’s Contact page (or DM me on FB/IG)? holding you in my heart and friendship. 🙂
Marcia
The night we turn the clocks!!! You are REALLY in for a change upon returning home xo
That rainbow seems to invite gratitude to just be alive and witness such natural wonders.
Thanks for the reminder to be grateful!
